MERCHANDISE & SOFT GOODS - AN ASSORTMENT OF COLLECTABLES + LIMITED EDITIONS
XPEL, 2016 - 2025
Overview
Eight years. Hundreds of design concepts & only the strongest survived. From essential apparel to coveted collectibles, I shaped the tangible identity of XPEL through merchandise. More than just swag, these pieces became a direct connection to the brand, driven by community and crafted with purpose.
Challenge
Tight budgets. Lightning-fast timelines. The mission: create desirable, profitable merchandise with minimal resources. We needed to cut through the noise and deliver pieces that resonated, quickly.
Solution
Listen, then create. We built direct lines of communication with our audience, surveying preferences and tailoring releases to key events. This wasn't just about slapping a logo on a shirt; it was about curating drops that spoke to the moment, driving demand.
Outcome
Tangible results. Events became retail experiences, generating upwards of $50k in sales. Online demand surged, proving the power of community-driven design. Each piece wasn't just a product; it was a badge of belonging, fueling brand loyalty and profit.
Toolset
Classic design skills, sharpened by streetwear insights and relentless trend research. Cultivating strong vendor relationships was key, ensuring quality and efficiency at every stage. I predominantly utilize Illustrator & Photoshop, along with MidJourney for mock-up and ideation. Over the years, I contracted with a variety of vendors from local to international, managing relationships and provided production input every step of the way.
Next Steps
Scaling for success. The only way it grows is if the brand can focus on refining internal policies to streamline sales, ease of access, production and meet the ever-growing demand. The goal: evolve the brand into a self-sustaining merchandise powerhouse, where every piece tells a story and every drop sparks hype-driving sales.
