XPEL - 2025
Overview
XPEL’s Strawberry Kiwi Energy is the second edition in the XPEL Energy series, following the success of last year’s Lemon Energy drink. Designed as a collectible promotional product, the beverage serves as an engaging way to reinforce brand identity at corporate events, trade shows, and customer promotions. This product follows a consistent minimalist design language, aligning with XPEL’s care product packaging and new brand color palette while maintaining a premium, high-energy aesthetic.
Challenge
Building on the momentum of previous XPEL-branded beverages—including Lemon Energy (2023) and a limited-edition sparkling water for SEMA 2023—the goal was to maintain visual consistency while introducing a fresh, vibrant look that reflects the Strawberry Kiwi flavor profile. The design needed to feel instantly recognizable within the product line while distinguishing itself from previous editions. Additionally, as a non-retail promotional product, it was essential to create a high-quality, desirable collectible that aligned with XPEL’s brand reputation.
Solution
To ensure brand consistency, I maintained the clean, minimalistic can design, integrating XPEL’s refined brand colors and the established visual style from previous editions. The design approach included:
A color reflective of the flavor, incorporating rich clay red hues while complementing XPEL’s overall brand identity.
A bold yet understated icon system, featuring a strawberry-kiwi lightning bolt to reinforce energy and flavor.
Typography and layout inspired by XPEL’s care product branding, bridging the gap between automotive protection and lifestyle branding.
Subtle branding elements like "Energize Responsibly", reinforcing the product's exclusivity and collectibility.
Outcome
Launched as a limited-edition product for corporate events and promotions, XPEL Strawberry Kiwi Energy successfully expanded the company’s branded beverage lineup, engaging both employees and customers. The cohesive packaging design further cemented the energy drink as a recognizable part of the XPEL promotional experience, following the legacy of Lemon Energy and SEMA Sparkling Water.
By maintaining a structured yet flexible approach to branded collectibles, this project reinforces XPEL’s ability to blend premium product aesthetics with unique experiential marketing opportunities that connect with the lifestyle of the brand's customer base.
Toolset
This project combined traditional design methods along with keen product insights. I predominantly used Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop for the design components, and worked directly with the vendor to resource drink types, flavor profiles, and ingredient selection.
Next Steps
With Strawberry Kiwi Energy successfully continuing XPEL’s branded beverage series, the foundation has been set for future editions.
The next edition will require careful consideration to ensure:
